I'm still behind on Prophecy. I did some extra writing last night, on the latest hateable scene. (One of the benchmarks of how much I'm enjoying my writing: whether or not I'm sending snippets to Greywolf. I haven't sent him anything in weeks. I must be hating it.) The scene is dreadful, but at least it's almost over and I'll be able to move on to the next one.
Which, um, I don't have much hope will be better. But, hey, there aren't many of these left to go. It'll all be over soon. Except for the revising, of course, which will continue on for months afterwards. Possibly years, if I decide I still like this monstrosity enough to try publishing it. But there's no sense borrowing trouble now: the rough draft will be done in June, and that's enough of a goal to shoot for.
I ought to be doing some more work on it now, but what I really want to do is draw. Not, apparently, badly enough to get out of my seat and go to my sketchbook. But I don't feel much like writing or playing a game right now, so drawing would make the most sense.
I think I'll try and get a wee bit of writing done, though. It'd be nice to be a little more caught-up on Prophecy.
Just in time to go away and fall behind again.
