I read the final book in the trilogy today too (I don't know if this is actually intended to be a trilogy or if it just happens to have three books right now; the books stand on their own reasonably well). This may be my favorite of the three. It's still mystery/thriller/horror so still pretty depressing, but with more glimmers of hope and a more upbeat ending than the first two. I don't have much to say about it beyond that and "it was good". 8 or 9 out of 10 on the fun-o-meter. I also feel virtuous for having read some books outside of my usual genre/comfort zone, and will therefore let myself read a nice fluffy romance tomorrow.
Today I picked up the three books from the library that had come in yesterday. No new ones arrived today! I'm gaining on the list! (Maybe the reserve system doesn't ship books on the weekend, I don't know).
I am wondering when my current rabid reading kick will die off. I don't think I've read this many different books so quickly since before I went to college, although perhaps my binges on Lois McMaster Bujold and Diana Wynne Jones matched it. I'm wondering if the fact that I don't have any current video game obsessions is a contributing factor.
